Showcasing Fine Art
& Distinctive Crafts
Created in the UK Cathedral
Gallery is located in the
picturesque village of Tideswell, in the Peak District, opposite St
John the Baptist Church known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak' and is
housed in one of the oldest buildings in Tideswell, which, from
circa 1746 to 1816, was the 'House of Correction' and in more recent
years a Portuguese Restaurant.
2006 saw its conversion to an Art &
Craft Gallery, which opened in May. The building, with its quaint,
uneven, walls and beamed ceilings, creates a wonderful back drop for
the work of many talented artists and craft workers, mostly, from
around the British Isle.
Showcased in the gallery is a
comprehensive range of art & craft from 'home grown'
talent along with a few internationally famous artists. |
